What is the shelf life of your products?
To use at the peak of freshness, our products should be used within 6 months after opening.
I noticed this long word on the last or next to last ingredient on your ingredient deck, sodium hydroxymethylglycinate. What is that?
Yes, it is a long word and sounds a bit scary, doesn't it? Don't worry, it is a preservative derived from the naturally occurring amino acid, glycine. It is commonly used in cosmetics and skin care products as a natural alternative to parabens. Most products require preservatives, as you must prevent bacteria build up that can occur in packaging. The risks associated with not using preservatives is far greater than any possible risk of using a quality preservative. However, there are many preservatives to choose from, so it is important to use the best quality, naturally derived preservative that will not cause irritation on your skin. Sodium hydroxymethylglicinate is an effective preservative because of its ability to cover a broad spectrum of microbes at extremely low concentrations between .1% to 1%.
Are your products gluten free?
The most common culprit of gluten in body and hair care is hydrolyzed wheat protein, which we do not use. We do not use wheat-derived ingredients and feel quite safe in saying that our products are gluten free. However, if you have celiac disease we do advise caution with our products, or any other products, as there can always be a slight risk in cross contamination. We do our very best in quality control to ensure this does not happen, but we always advise caution. For your reference, below is a list of the ingredients that we DO NOT USE, but can be found in body care and hair products containing gluten:

I cannot pump lotion / soap from the bottle, I believe the pump is faulty.
Of course if your pump is faulty we will replace it for you immediately. Sometimes shipping and/or varying weather conditions can cause issues that could cause you to have trouble when trying to open the pump. And occasionally, it is simply a faulty pump. Contact us if you are having any trouble - here is something we would like you to please try first:
Be sure the collar around the pump is twisted tightly closed around the opening of the bottle. The collar can get loose during shipping, and when it is loose, the pump will not pop up in order to dispense product. Turn the pump counterclockwise to open while holding your thumb under the pump pushing upwards.
